HOW TO USE YOUR PLEUROTES MUSHROOM KIT
The yellow oyster mushroom is a fungus that brings good humor and sun to the plates. It has the taste characteristic of having a fairly pronounced nutty taste (but must be cooked enough to lose its bitterness). This mushroom with a “flashy” look grows in Asian tropical forests (China, Japan, Vietnam…) on oaks, beeches and poplars. It is known for its antioxidant properties and its high level of carbohydrates which help regulate the level of glucose in the blood.

Behind this rather sad name hides an incredible food with subtle flavors and unsuspected virtues. Far from being a rare species (it represents 25% of world production), this funny ear-shaped mushroom grows in clumps on the trunks and stumps of trees all over the world. There are about fifty species, among the most popular: the gray oyster mushroom, the pink and the yellow. In addition to its taste much appreciated by gourmets, pleurotus ostreatus is also a very complete food from a nutritional point of view.
